Comments Mounted & Pull-Type Customers clamoring for a "European Style" short disk harrow have found the answer with the Great Plains X-Press™. Although new to the states, the X-Press has been proven for several years in the soils and weather conditions of the United Kingdom and Western Europe. The X-Press was designed by Simba International, which was purchased by Great Plains in April 2010. The X-Press is the most popular unit manufactured by the Great Plains UK subsidiary and continues to be manufactured in the Sleaford, England, plant. A compact disk harrow with an integrated press roll, the versatile X-Press combines high speed with shallow cultivations of 2" to 6" with effective consolidation. Use the X-Press in reduced cultivation systems to incorporate stubble or to work down tilled fields. Recent specification additions to the X-Press – including fully-adjustable disc angling and the introduction of rear rollers – make the machine’s range particularly attractive to the US market. Farmers worldwide can now experience the benefits of this Great Plains UK design and its components in a new, competitively-priced package. The Great Plains X-Press provides proven European technology, delivered to you by the American company you trust.    Product Features Two Rows of Discs Mounted two to a standard, the cultivation discs are 20" in diameter. The disc spacing is 10" on both front and rear gangs. Their rotational speed is far greater than more conventional discs. Chopping and mixing are enhanced and a finer seedbed is achieved. Pro-Active Disc units with a trip height of 5" give improved protection against stone damage and improved contour-following at speed. All discs are fitted with a rotational armored bearing housing for enhanced protection. STRONG DISC UNITS Can handle high disc down pressure, ensuring long life. The hub and disc turn as one, eliminating blockage and reducing wear. The 200-hour greasing period on disc hubs results in reduced downtime. MAXLIFT ROLLER By combining notched wheels and teeth to drive and lift high volumes of soil, the MaxLift Roller creates a fine finish while still consolidating the ground just below the surface. This roller achieves a good mixing effect at high speeds. EXCELLENT TRASH CLEARANCE With a massive amount of clearance between both gangs of discs and the rear roller, the X-Press can deal easily with high volumes of trash. DISC ANGLE ADJUSTMENT (13, 17, & 21 degrees) Disc angling combined with an inclined disc axle allows the X-Press to achieve the same work with a disc that has a smaller diameter and far less concavity. It penetrates the soil and mixes residue while creating less compaction than conventional short discs.   .trbordd tr{border-bottom:1px solid #dedede;} .igg{float:right; padding:10px;} .tdg{border-bottom:1px solid #dedede;} .ttl{width: 100%; height: 30px; background-color: #eeeeee; line-height: 26px; padding-top: 2px; font-weight: bold; color: #fff; margin-top: 10px; color: #df0101; font-size: 14px; clear: both;} .flex-box{max-width:700px; overflow:scroll; height:800px; font-size:12px;} .flex-box td{border:1px solid #000; padding:5px;} .flex-box th{border:1px solid #000; padding:5px; font-weight:bold; background-color:#04659d; color:#fff; text-shadow:1px 1px 2px #000;} .list ul{list-style:disc; padding-left:10px; } .list li{width:80%!important;} .spectable td{border: 1px solid #000000; padding:5px; }
